Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account to use Vets Fit?
- No. There are no accounts or logins. Your data stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your
own private iCloud.
- How does my data sync between devices?
- If you're signed in to iCloud on your iPhone and iPad with the same Apple ID, your food, exercise,
and weight logs sync automatically through your private iCloud. Make sure iCloud Drive is turned on.
- Why does the app ask for Apple Health access?
- With your permission, Vets Fit reads your weight, workouts, and active energy to show progress, and
writes the meals, exercise, and weigh-ins you log back to Apple Health. You can change this anytime in
Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Vets Fit.
- Why does the app need the camera?
- Only to scan a barcode when you tap "Scan Barcode." The app never takes or stores photos.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete individual entries inside the app, or remove the app to clear its on-device data. Manage iCloud
copies in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Health data can be
removed in the Apple Health app.
- Is Vets Fit a medical device?
- No. Vets Fit is provided for general wellness and fitness tracking. It does not diagnose, treat, or
prevent any condition. Talk to your healthcare provider before starting any weight-loss or exercise
program.
